Prohibiting Race-Based Hair Discrimination - In 2023 CROWN Workplace Research Study found that approximately two-thirds of women of color (66%) change their hair for a job interview; race-based hair discrimination, including the denial of employment and educational opportunities because of hair texture or protective hairstyles, must stop.

Our community embraces and empowers individuals by celebrating and encouraging them to embrace their natural hair texture. We provide specialized training programs for foster parents and foster youths which equip them and their caregivers with the knowledge and skills necessary to properly care for their diverse hair and skin care needs. We celebrate these victories and builds solutions that removes hair texture discrimination by living and sharing our Core Values of Love, Truth, Peace, Freedom, and Justice, which uplifts our communities and provides supportive environments for our youth and the foster care and placement system. Additionally, it is our mission to unite all communities through media, showcasing our similarities while highlighting the uniqueness of our distinct communities.
